The main objective for this assignment is to conduct a mapping research in five sites in the Durban metropolitan area, to identify the nature and form of migrant and local host entrepreneurial activities in those communities and the relationships they have with those communities that facilitate their entrepreneurial endeavors. This exercise should also investigate how Covid 19 has affected entrepreneurs’ businesses, and how they have managed the effects. The targeted stakeholders are individual African migrant and the South African local host that conduct economic activities in the project sites.
Gender representation in the mapping exercise is critical and should be as follows:
• At least 55% African immigrant female traders
• At least 50% South African local host female traders.
